Automobile Parts Manufacturing (Stainless Steel Exhaust Systems)
We were selected to lead the design-build team to design their facility to reflect the high tech nature of their business and the European look they desired. It was accomplished in part by enclosing the offices that project from the front of the building in walls of blue glass that make rounded corners in some locations. The 2 x 2 glass panels are installed in a brushed aluminum grid. The pre-engineered building was started at the beginning of an extremely wet winter, with three solid months of rain. However, we kept the project moving by erecting steel columns on small concrete piers since large areas could not be poured. The project finished on schedule and four subsequent projects have been completed since the original construction.

We were selected by Takenaka Construction, one of Japan's oldest (est. 1610) and largest construction firms, as the local contractor on the design-build team for this project. This facility was the first to be constructed in The Matrix, the Upstate's newest industrial park. The Butler pre-engineered building has an attractive flat metal panel exterior. It features an attractive foyer with curved steps, and a painted green and white plant floor. Even though a large amount of concealed rock was discovered on the site, we removed it and completed the project ahead of schedule.
