Marsh/Bell Knows Medical
Marsh/Bell has been strategic partners for many physicians and the Greenville University Medical System. We understand that:
your primary goal is to provide outstanding patient care and the most pleasant experience for your patients possible. The design of the office can have a significant effect on the pleasure of the visit, whether it's the feel of the waiting area, or the efficiency of the flow through the office to reduce wait time.
with the current shortage of healthcare workers, you want to provide a great atmosphere for employees to work to help retain them. The office environment they work in adds or detracts from their workday enjoyment. We just moved to a new office with wider hallways, more pleasing colors, a larger breakroom, a conference room large enough for employee and client meetings, adequate storage space, and nicer restroom facilities. It has had a tremendous effect on employee morale, pride, and enjoyment. We make sure all your employees' concerns are addressed in the design process.
with reimbursements being reduced, you are constantly looking for ways to make the practice more efficient. Our design-build process allows you to design an office with everything you do need and nothing that you don't.
the government regulations are having an impact on your operations and you want insure compliance at all times. Our design team can make sure that your facility satisfies the HIPAA requirements.
you need flexibility in your design to accommodate future changes such as the addition of a new partner or to accommodate technology changes in equipment. We can masterplan the site for future additions and make provisions for them in the first phase of building.
you need a design-build firm that can deliver your new office on the agreed upon date because moving a medical practice is no easy task.
you want a building with very few "punchlist" items since they are an inconvenience to patients and employees, and there is usually sensitive equipment installed in the office that can be damaged or miscalibrated.

Emergency Room
We recently completed this two year expansion project for GHS. A new emergency room was added first. Then the former emergency area, GI, and radiology areas were enlarged and renovated. It was a challenging project since much of the work was occurring in and around the hospital as it operated. Coordination with the staff, proper phasing of the project, and a lot of after hours work made this project a success.
